The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

When the Earth is about to be destroyed Arthur Dent is plucked from the planet by his friend Ford Prefect who isn’t who he claims to be. As the hysterical pair travel the galaxy together they are accompanied by the president of the galaxy who has some gaps in his memory, Trillian another human who escaped earth and Marvin a chronically depressed robot. Together this crew of misfits will find out the real reason the earth was made.  I give this book five stars because it was a nonsense filled hilarious read with exciting action and wonderful mystery.  It will have even skeptical readers laugh their heart out. I recommend it to Diary of a Wimpy Kid fans and Star War lovers.
