The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

When the Earth is about to be destroyed Arthur Dent is plucked from the planet by his friend Ford Prefect who isn’t who he claims to be. As the hysterical pair travel the galaxy together they are accompanied by the president of the galaxy who has some gaps in his memory, Trillian another human who escaped earth and Marvin a chronically depressed robot. Together this crew of misfits will find out the real reason the earth was made.  I give this book five stars because it was a nonsense filled hilarious read with exciting action and wonderful mystery.  It will have even skeptical readers laugh their heart out. I recommend it to Diary of a Wimpy Kid fans and Star War lovers.

So B. It by Sarah Weeks

Heidi doesn’t know anything about herself or her mentally disabled mom until her mom started saying one word that made her really curious. Heidi tried hard to let the word go, but it didn’t work.  She travelled to the place where her mom grew up.   She wanted to find information about her mom. She also wanted to know what that mysterious word meant.  Does she figure out more things about her mom and what the word means? Read this book to find out. I LOVED this book because it was really easy to understand.  There was also always something going on that made me want to keep reading. I think people who like suspense and mystery books will like So B. It a lot.

Mudshark by Gary Paulsen

Lyle Williams, A.K.A Mudshark, is known for his speed and knowing where things are.  But things in his life are pretty crazy, especially school.  A psychic parrot, a hamster on the loose, SERIOUS problems in the faculty restroom, and all the erasers are missing! I thought it had so much going on, it was a little hard to keep track of.  But if you really like action books, you should take a peek. I gave this book 3 stars, and I think it's a really good book to have around you when you need something to read.

Birthmarked by Caragh O'Brian

Gaia Stone is a 16 year old midwife, living in the future where there is a wall, a place to live inside or outside the wall. Gaia's parents have been taken away and she doesn't know why. In this book there's a girl taking a journey to a place called the "enclave"! Will she die trying to save her parents lives? Or make it to the top rescuing the only people she has ever loved? Some parts were slower than others, but it was still good.
