Shadow is a book about an Afghan boy, Aman,
and his mother. His father was killed by
the Taliban so they escape to the safety of England. During their escape they meet a former
military dog, who they name Shadow, and helps lead them out of danger. At the border of each country Aman and his
mother are forced into prison because they have no papers. The book takes you through the journey of
Aman and Shadow, and the people that try to help Aman have a better life in
England. I really loved this book because the characters made me want to read
more. There are some very emotional
parts of the book that made you understand what Aman and his mother are going
through. People will like this book
because it helps you to understand what is happening in this part of the world
right now.
