Gilda
Joyce knew she needed to get into a good school, but when her mother applied
her for a scholarship at Our Lady of Sorrows, Gilda thought: No way. Approaching her first day; Gilda notices bad
attitude from the team here, and learns that freshman; Dolore Lambert here had
drowned and died in the nearby lake. Gilda has soon to believe that it could be
haunting the school and possibly seeking revenge on the ones who had done this
to her. She decided to go out and start an investigation. Gilda wanted to get
to the bottom of this mystery, but there was her education to keep on track
with, the head generals to get around, and the most popular girls that hated
the freshman there would get in her way to putting her smarts to the test. I really
enjoyed this book because, I wasn’t a really big fan of mysteries but this one
is great! Gild Joyce’s life style reminded me of how important it is to get
your education in but to also have fun in the process. Overall, The Mystery of
The Ladies of the Lake was fabulous and very enjoyable.Review by Anita in 6th grade, rated it
