In Because of Winn-Dixie, A girl named India
Opal moves to Naomi. A dog wonders in a supermarket. This girl, India Opal
walks in and finds the dog and falls in love with the dog. India Opal decides
to adopt the dog, she names it Winn-Dixie because the supermarket’s name was
“Winn-Dixie” and that’s where they met. After a few days, India Opal discovers
that Winn-Dixie can’t stand being alone so they have to go almost anywhere.
India Opal meets a friend named Gloria Dump. After they had there talk, they
decided to throw a party. India Opal decides to invite her friends that she has
met so far in Naomi. These 2 kids call Gloria Dump a witch and always picks on Opal
so, Gloria Dump tells India Opal to invite them and they become good friends. It's a really
good book. It makes me want to read even more. In the beginning of the story it is a
little bit confusing but as you read more you will understand. You should
really read Because of Winn-Dixie. These are my opinions of this book.
